Coronavirus Emergency Measures - information for plotholders
Updated 15th October 2020
If you have been told to self-isolate for 12 weeks
If you are sheltering / self-isolating or under quarantine you will not be able to visit the allotments during that time.
We understand how worried some of you will be about your allotment and want to assure you that there will be no inspections or notices to improve issued whilst this situation continues. We would ask the following though:
Visiting the allotments
Any plot holder who is self-isolating because a household member is ill with Coronavirus should not be visiting the site.
It is important that anyone attending the allotment takes care to stay the appropriate distance from others, avoids body contact and washes their hands at taps. Do not wash hands or use detergents in the water tanks. It is essential that no unauthorised people are allowed on to the plots for the duration of this emergency. If you do need to bring someone to assist with work on the plot please ensure that this is notified to the Secretary (use our website to contact). Careful consideration should be given to bringing anyone on site who is over 70 or has underlying illness issues or who is pregnant.
Please remember to look out for one another during these very difficult times.

- You need to tell us if you cannot come to the allotments, please contact the Secretary at [email protected]
- If you can get someone to work your plot this is fine, but please let us know
- If you are able to get someone to cover your plot with weed suppressant (not carpet though!) this will make your plot easier to work when you can access it
